Wheat bran bread


Wheat flour – 400 g, bran – 70 g, water – 200 g, yeast – 20 g, butter (or margarine) – 20 g, sugar – 30 g, egg – 1 piece, salt – to taste.


Grind in a glass jar a small amount of yeast with flour and sugar, and then add a small amount of water and mix thoroughly. Put the resulting mass in a warm place. When yeast is ready, pour them into a bowl, add salt, remaining sugar and flour, pre-mixed with bran. Well knead this dough, add the melted butter (or margarine), again well knead the dough and put in a warm place. When the dough is ok, roll it and cut into wide strips. Each band is done into a braid, then put on a greased baking sheet and leave in a warm place for about 20-30 minutes. Then lubricate the surface of braids with whisked egg and bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes
