Recipes with chia seeds

Chia seeds have a neutral taste, which is combined with all kinds of products and preparations. Chia seeds contain a large amount of mucus and have a thickening ability in combination with water, milk or juices. Usually chia seeds are used in fruit juices, yoghurts, homemade ice cream or whipped drinks.

Chia seeds with yoghurt, oatmeal and fruit

Ingredients: 1/2 cup ordinary oat flakes, 1/2 cup ordinary yogurt, 2/3 cup milk, 1 tbsp. of chia seeds, 2-2.5 tbsp. of strawberry jam or fresh berries, puree of one small banana.

The drink “Chia – Water”

Ingredients: 1 cup of chia seeds, washed and strained, 100 ml lemon juice, 1 cup of dark brown sugar (taste can be replaced with a portion of sugar from stevia, saccharin or other sweeteners), 2.5 liters of water, mint or melissa – if desired.

Energy cocktail

Ingredients (2 servings): Seeds of chia – 2 tablespoons, lime juice – 2 tablespoons, honey – 4 tablespoons, water – 2 cups.

Vitamin cocktail

Ingredients: 1 orange, 1 banana, 1 apple, 1 kiwi, 2 tablespoons of chia seeds, 2 tbsp. of orange juice.

Vegetarian rice

Ingredients: 2 cups of rice, 3.5 cups of water, 1 red pepper, 1/2 green pepper, 150 g tofu, 4 cloves garlic (unclean), 8 teaspoons chia seeds, olive oil, parsley, salt.

Salmon with chia seeds

Ingredients: About 400 grams of peeled salmon fillet, 1 cup of boiled rice, 2 cups spinach, 1/4 cup sesame seeds, 1/2 cup chia seeds, 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of olive oil, zest, salt, black pepper powder – to taste.

Brown rice with chia seeds and egg

Ingredients: 1/2 cup vegetable broth, 1 bunch of green onions, 2.5 tbsp. of chia seeds, 2 cups of brown rice, 4 eggs, 1 tbsp. of soy sauce.

Chicken nuggets with chia seeds

Ingredients: 500 g chicken fillet, 1/2 glass of flax seed, 1/2 cup of chia seeds, 1/4 cup grated hard cheese, 1 tsp. of salt, 2 cloves of garlic, 1 tsp. of dried oregano, 1 tsp. of dried basil, 2 eggs, 1 tbsp. of olive oil.

Flour from chia seeds

Cooking method. Flour is obtained by grinding chia seeds. It is useful to add flour to bread, cakes, rolls, drinks, sauces.

Crackers with chia seeds

Ingredients: Seeds of chia – 1 glass, dried tomatoes – 1/2 cup (can be soaked for half an hour), basil green – 20 g, lemon juice – 2 tablespoons, honey – 1 tablespoon, sea salt – to taste.

Breakfast “Chia-Eggs”

Ingredients: 1 egg, 1 tablespoon of chia seeds (preferably white), 1/2 a small onion, a handful of spinach, a dessert spoonful of milk.

Vegetarian falafel with chia, not requiring frying

Ingredients: 1/2 zucchini or a young vegetable marrow, 1 carrot, chives, cilantro and dried tomatoes – to taste, 3 tbsp. of chia seeds, 7-8 mushrooms, sesame for sprinkling.
